Whoa! Where does the time go? I’ve been so busy preparing to launch (and squeezing every last bit out of summer) that I haven’t posted since Burger Week (for shame!), but hopefully you’ll forgive me when I start sharing very exciting updates! Don’t forget to keep up with all the latest in the world of brunch by following BITB on Facebook and Instagram! In the meantime, here’s a little teaser of what I’ve been up to…
First up this week is Dining Out For Life on Thursday September 12. You can check out the full list of participants here, but I wanted to draw your attention to a few BITB favorites who will be open for breakfast…or brunch – hey, it’s a day that ends in -y, right?
- Alfalfa
- Doodles Breakfast & Lunch
- Good Foods Co-Op
- Lexington Diner
- Lussi Brown Coffee Bar
- Lynagh’s Irish Pub
- Nate’s Coffee
- North Lime Coffee & Donuts
- Stella’s Kentucky Deli
- Third Street Stuff
Next up will of course be the second – and even bigger – UYE (Unofficial Yelp Event) at Ranada’s Bistro + Bar on Sunday September 15 at 11 a.m.! Last month we visited Mirror Twin Brewing to check out Rolling Oven‘s brunch menu in Building 723, and it did not disappoint; in fact, it THRILLED! Here’s the rundown:
Ranada’s Bistro + Bar only just came on the scene this past winter, but that hasn’t stopped them from ROCKING IT OUT in the old Wines On Vine location! Every Sunday Chef Ranada kicks it old school with a brunch BUFFET from 10A-3P, plus both chef-manned omelet AND carving stations! If that weren’t enough, diners are also treated to LIVE JAZZ music from 11A-2P. Let’s check out Lexington’s hottest new foodie destination and relish what’s left of summer! $20/person, ages 5 and under FREE!
*UYE’s are unofficial Yelp events put on by Yelpers, but not sponsored or endorsed by Yelp (though they are still promoted on Yelp for other Yelpers).*
**Please also note the experience you have at a UYE may not resemble the experience you’d have if you were attending as a regular customer. As a result, you shouldn’t post a review about the venue unless you’re describing your experience as a regular customer. If you want to post a review anyway, please post it on the relevant Yelp Event page rather than the business page.**
So who’s in?
RSVP on either the UYE event page or the Facebook event so I can coordinate our tables with the restaurant!
